About Andrew Calhoun: From Chicago, Andrew Calhoun is an exceptionally gifted poet and songwriter, who has produced an extraordinary body of work during his 25 years as a touring songwriter. The founder of Waterbug Records, a very respected record label for modern American songwriters, he is also a very engaging and entertaining performer who can be absolutely hilarious as well as deadly serious, and his Scottish ballads, beat poetry, hilarious parodies, odes, and barrages of words mark him as a true original and a master songsmith. His songs, orations, poems, stories and sophisticated guitar work will remind you of the magical power of music and words, and if indeed you show up you'll be very glad you did. Andrew performed at our 2005 Seacoast Guitar Festival. Learn more about him at http://www.andrewcalhoun.com

As a special treat, we will have an opening act, with the exciting young songwriter Lauryn Hottinger from Portland. http://www.laurynhottinger.com
