About Mary Flower: Mary is a veteran blues singer and guitarist, and for over 25 years has played her brand of acoustic blues and folk music. She has earned a reputation for her teaching, for her lively performances, vast repertoire of acoustic blues and ragtime music, and also as a formidable guitarist and a fine songwriter. She placed 3rd in the 2000 National Fingerpicking Competition, and has recently appeared on Prairie Home Companion. She plays acoustic and slide guitar as well as Hawaiian lap dobro. Mary has performed with many of todayÕs great guitarists, and has spent much of her career teaching in Denver and raising her children. This is a rare area concert for her, and sure to be a delight. (Tidbit for guitar fans: Mary was Pat Donohue's duo partner for several years...)
