DETAILS: The Inn on the Blues is a blues club, restaurant and bar that seats about 100 people, and regularly features blues bands and artists from New England, as well as some touring national artists. It is a very pleasant room, and great for acoustic music, located right in the heart of downtown York Beach at Short Sands (looking at the ocean!), and serves a full menu of blues food (a lot of barbeque!) and drinks. Smoking is permitted, (though it is not what you would call a smoky place) and no one under 21 is allowed in without parent or guardian. There is not a bad seat in the house, and food is served all day, dinner til 9 then pub menu till 11pm. Call the Inn 207-351-3221 for dinner or hotel reservations. (They do have 6 rooms for rent upstairs, many with ocean view.) There is almost infinite parking across the street in the municipal lot. Travel time from Portsmouth NH is about 15 minutes.

Wheelchair access: almost (3 steps)
