About David Surette: David Surette is most known as a top player and arranger of Celtic fingerstyle guitar, yet his diverse repertoire also includes original compositions, blues and ragtime, traditional American roots music, and folk music from a variety of traditions. He one of very few guitarists to become equally adept at both the flatpicked and fingerstyle guitar styles, and he is also a master mandolin and bouzouki player. He first made a name for himself playing guitar and mandolin in many of New England's most respected traditional dance bands, and has played on innumerable recording sessions. David is also one of the area's most respected teachers, and is a leading expert on the Breton branch of the Celtic musical tree, though he is perhaps best known locally for performing as a duo with singer Susie Burke. His peerless guitar and mandolin work will thrill any lovers of hand-crafted music.
